Welcome to the very first episode of A Holistic Dose!
I’m Tiffany, and alongside my co-host Jeanette, we’re diving into one of the most soul-stirring, life-shifting topics: finding the courage to make big changes. This podcast is all about opening our minds to new ideas and giving ourselves permission to evolve—without apology.
We’re two divorced moms in our 40s navigating parenting, careers, dating, remarriage, and the identity shifts that come with growing up (and growing wiser). Some of our changes were planned. Many were not. But one thing we know for sure: staying stuck is never the answer.
How Do We Get Stuck?
It happens slowly, then all at once. You look up and realize you’re not where—or who—you want to be. Sound familiar?
Common Stuck Points:

Career Ruts – You’re going through the motions, dreading Mondays, and wondering if this is all there is.

Relationships – You’re in something comfortable but unfulfilling, or maybe something that chips away at your confidence.

Appearance & Identity – Aging, post-baby bodies, and societal noise can all distort how we see ourselves.

Daily Life – Routines, friendships, expectations… they can keep us small if we’re afraid to shake things up.
We each shared personal stories here—times we ignored the signs and paid for it, and times we broke free.
When Is It Time for a Change?
Not every hard season means it’s time to burn it all down. But some signs should not be ignored.
Signs You're Ready to Pivot:

You wake up with dread more often than not.

You constantly fantasize about a different version of your life.

You feel like you’re shrinking instead of growing.

You’ve tried to fix things, but nothing actually changes.
Reminder: If you’re waiting for a perfect time, it will never come. The only perfect time is the one where you finally say, I’m ready.
So What Holds Us Back?
Here’s what usually gets in the way of making bold moves:

Cognitive Bias – “I’ve already put in so much time/money… I can’t just leave now.”

Fear of the Unknown – The “devil you know” feels safer.

Guilt – You’re worried about what people will think or who you’ll disappoint.
